Volleyball Courts
Volleyball is an interesting game and is very popular with athletic, outdoorsy people. It is usually played on the beach with no clear court lines and a regulation-sized net. Professional volleyball players and people who want to follow the game’s rules more rigidly require a well-designed court. At Hardscapes Unlimited, we can install volleyball courts on both residential and commercial properties.
Our team has worked with clients in Pembroke, Bridgewater, East Bridgewater, Easton, and Berkley with excellent results. We have also installed game courts in Somerset, Plymouth, Middleboro, Wareham, and West Wareham so our team is very familiar with the process. If you want a durable, well-designed court, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
Volleyball Court Installation - Factors We Consider
All large-scale installations require careful planning because poorly installed courts won’t be durable. There are a number of factors our volleyball court installers consider during the installation process and that includes:
- Playing Area - The playing area should be big enough to accommodate the court and a safe zone around it. This safe zone should stretch at least 10 feet in every direction from the court borders to ensure players don’t accidentally collide with spectators. You need at least a 50’ by 80’ area for a small volleyball court installation. International size recommendations are 70’ by 100’, which can accommodate bigger courts.
- Court Size - Regular volleyball courts are 29'6" by 59' in size and that is enough to play a full-fledged game. We can also install a smaller 2 on 2 court 26'3" by 52'6", which is a good option for smaller properties with less space.
- Volleyball Game Court Installation - This process can be quite complicated, which is why we plan everything in advance carefully. Our team assesses the site, checks it for underground utility installations, land grading, and other such factors before carrying out the installation. The volleyball court construction site is prepared, the drainage system and gravel installed, and then we place the surface material on the court.
- Types of Courts - Most volleyball courts have a sand surface but we can install asphalt, concrete, or Versacourt surfaces based on your preference. Sand courts are difficult to maintain so we don’t recommend them to people who want low-maintenance and versatile courts.
